The man smiled to the child while holding out a piece of candy. Glancing around nervously, the little boy saw all the other children happily eating and playing.
"It'll make a dream come true, little one," said the man, his smile growing wider. Like a switch, the boy snatched the candy from the outstretched palm and stuffed it in his mouth. The illusion dropped at the same time as the little boy. The haze lifted, and the blasted landscape of war was revealed around them.
"Only this time, it's my dream." The man said happily.
